Today’s Homework:

“Often, our belief about what we can and can’t do is [us] playing the blame game and placing the blame on our ability or our power when the truth is that, often, we have the power to make any number of choices.”

~Vervain Helsdottir

“‘It’s hard’ is really the heart saying ‘this is difficult and I don’t know what to do.’ So that actually goes to the realm of shutdown, of ‘I don’t know,’ ‘this is hard,’ ‘I can’t,’ that clamming up and that going into protection mode of ‘it’s hard and I don’t want to.’ ‘It’s hard’ is ‘I don’t want to,’ because it’s scary, or whatever it is. You may not have all of the translation there, it depends on the scenario, but ‘it’s hard….’ Is it really hard? Or is it that you’re choosing not to do it and you’re not engaging with it?”

    • Welcome to Magic School can currently be reviewed on Apple Podcasts, Stitcher, Podchaser, and Audible.

  2. For this lesson’s assignment, put any of the upgrades you learned in this episode into action. Then, shoot me a message or a voice note telling me about your experience!

Also, if you do the homework from any past episodes, please still turn it in, no matter how late! After all, a wizard (or witch, presumably) is never late--nor is he early. He arrives (or turns in his homework) precisely when he means to.... right? And it may yet provide some value to your classmates (or, you know, to me)!
